Tyler is originally from Spokane, Washington. He completed his undergraduate education at Eastern Washington University, earning a B.A. in History with honors. He then attended the University of Notre Dame School of Law where he graduated with honors in 2018. The same year, Tyler moved to Colorado to begin practicing law. Since then, Tyler has called Salida home with his wife and their dog, Dexter.

Tyler has extensive experience handling complex criminal litigation, with more than 40 misdemeanor and felony criminal trials.  Tyler has twice gone to trial on first degree murder in the State of Colorado.

Tyler's litigation has resulted in the dismissal of dozens of felony cases, including multiple case of felony sexual assault.*
